It is true that the older you get the harder it becomes to build muscle, harder yes, possible also yes.

Although it is harder to start bodybuilding after 50 (and for some after 40) there are some factors that can help it become easier:

1. The more muscle training you did in your youth the better. If you used to workout or even did some bodybuilding before then you body "remembers" that and
it will respond better to any training you are going to do now. The more training you did in the past the easier it is going to be for you now.
